Our world is experiencing the highest levels of displacement on record. These populations are more vulnerable to threats like violence, hunger, and disease and often lack access to vital services, such as health care, energy, and water.
To ensure that no one is left behind, we must address the rights and needs of refugees, internally displaced people, and migrants. Stand in solidarity and let Congress know you are #WithRefugees.
For the fifth year in a row, global displacement is at a record high; an unprecedented 68.5 million people around the world have been forced from home, among them are nearly 25.2 million refugees. These populations are more vulnerable to threats like violence, hunger, and disease and often lack access to vital services, such as health care, energy, and water.
Needs are outpacing resources and ability to respond. No one organization, country, or sector can meet humanitarian challenges alone. Human suffering and instability matter to all of us. What happens in one part of the world has repercussions for the globe.
That’s why I believe that now more than ever, we need to continue supporting organizations like the United Nations that work year-round to aid refugees, ordinary people that are simply caught up in extraordinary circumstances.
Can I count on you to support the UN’s work and stand #WithRefugees?
