The results are in – American support for the UN is at a 10-year high. Share the latest poll findings with your Members of Congress.
I am writing today with some important news: 8 in 10 Americans want continued strong engagement in the United Nations.
A bipartisan poll conducted by the Better World Campaign found that American support for the UN is at a 10-year high (68% favorable, 23% unfavorable, 8% neutral), which is true across party lines.
Moreover, respondents overwhelmingly agree that the UN is an organization worthy of taxpayer dollars, with majorities of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all supporting the U.S. paying our dues on time and in full.
I also want to point out that even when disputes arise, or the U.S. does not achieve all its objectives with other countries at the UN, a majority of voters still believe there is greater value in the U.S. remaining engaged.
The bottom line: No matter what, Americans want the U.S. to remain engaged and continue to fight for our interests at the UN.
I hope I can count on you to support the UN the next time a vote comes up.
