On March 12, Better World Campaign President Peter Yeo testified on Capitol Hill before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs about the need to fulfill our funding obligations to the United Nations and UN Peacekeeping. His key message? The UN and its agencies, like the World Health Organization, UNFPA, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, remain in the U.S.’s national interest. Plus, UN Peacekeeping is cost-effective for American taxpayers and helps lessen the threat of terrorist extremism around the globe.
