Vincent Valdmanis is an expert on integrated United Nations missions, with extensive field experience in peacekeeping, development cooperation and emergency humanitarian operations.
Prior to joining the Better World Campaign, Vincent was a senior policy advisor in the UN system, addressing rights-based governance in a wide range of field postings in East Africa and the Middle East. He previously worked for the UN Secretariat in the Department of Political Affairs, the UN Mission in South Sudan, and served as a technical expert for the Office of Internal Oversight Services, supporting independent evaluation of the efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of UN peacekeeping operations. Earlier in his career, Vincent managed programming for the largest USAID stabilization program in East Africa, and was a conflict analyst for several NGOs and think tanks addressing protection of civilians in conflict settings.
Vincent holds an MPA from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a BA in Political Science from Bard College.
